NOTgallery, Naples, Italy
After a little more than a year, in his first personal exhibition in Naples, Panayiotis Michael refers to Aaaaa..., with a new installation that totally abandons the "paper garments". FULLOFU, a little funny word, in which three letters are repeated twice, fills up the space of the project room; seven large sized letters "rounded off", of a little POP taste, occupy the space with their most colourful roundness. It's the roundness to transform ironically the same word into a shape able to contain "the observer" (the "others"). If the final U is for YOU - a frequently used abbreviation in e-mails or sms - the word “FULLOFU” then is transformed in "Full of YOU". Therefore as the central little figure in the installation of 2006 contained in itself (potentially) the outbreak of leaves (symbol of life, creativity, and imagination), in the same way in this new installation the observer becomes the fulcrum that contains in himself all that he is able to see, as in the show... as in life. Everything: the space, the air, what lives in it and what simply crosses it, the very same word... is full of you!
In this show a new cycle of drawings will be presented.
