New Arrivals 2000, performance
I am displayed as a “doll” in a box, set in a puplic place. Within the decorated box , I have a breast pump attached to my chest and the other end placed in my mouth. Being introduced to the viewer via a flyer and a poster, once “purchased” I am available for a variety of purposes at the demand of the consumer. Self-fed and self-sufficient, I am exploring the nature of the individual as commodity and consumer object.
As a hermaphroditic being, the doll has universal to both male and female consumers searching for the “perfect” product.
