The getting-together around the table is many times the excuse for truths to be told, for feelings and intentions to be revealed, for situations to be defused. It’s a milieu in which demands are heard, rights are contested, guidelines are determined, while at the same time order is restored to elements which tend to follow a course different than that which was initially carved out by the whole.
